Kimberly Yvonne Mays

Kimberly Yvonne Kirby Mays passed away unexpectedly on July 22, 2021 at her residence in Knoxville, Tennessee. She was born January 15, 1959 the daughter of Howard Clifton Kirby and Reba Faye Lawson. On September 25, 1972 she married her childhood sweetheart, William Lee Mays in Birmingham, Al. They would have shared a life/marriage of 50 years in September. They resided in their home in Knoxville, Tennessee, where they raised three children and one step child. Kim loved Jesus, family, reading the Bible and watching the Golden Girls. She was a saved born again Christian with an unwavering faith in Jesus Christ. Kim openly shared her faith and love of our Lord with those that surrounded her…AMEN. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings Toni Dawson, Howard Kirby, Johnny Kirby, Tracy Copeland, and Terry Kirby. Survivors include her husband, Bill Mays, Daughters: Kristy Reynolds, Wendy Lyon and Bernie, son: Bill Jr. and Jade Mays, step-son Billy Jones, Sister: Lisa Henderson, Grandchildren: Hannah Daugherty, Gracie Gross, Hailey Mays, Taylor Lyon, William Mays III, Trinity Mays, Shiloh Mays, Gabriel Mays, Ezra Mays and Jonah Mays. Receiving of Family and Friends will be held at Mynatt Funeral Home located in Fountain City on Sunday, July 25, 2021 from 5:00-7:00 PM. A Celebration of Life Service will follow at 7:00 PM with Rev. Bill Mays Jr. and Rev. Jack Chapman officiating. Family and Friends are asked to meet at Mynatt Funeral Home in Fountain City on Monday, July 26, 2021 by 12:15 PM to go in procession to New Gray Cemetery for a 1:00 PM Graveside Service.
