Kester Milam Davis, age 90 of Knoxville, passed away May 5, 2021. He retired from Standard Knitting Mill after many years. Kester worked two jobs his entire life. Owner of Krazy Kester Fireworks in Maynardville, he and his father began selling fireworks over 50 years ago out of a stand with one shelf. He loved to talk to people who came in to his store and enjoyed demonstrating some of the fireworks that he sold. He loved gardening, whether he was planting crops or watching someone else, he liked to watch everything grow on his farm. Kester adored all of his grandchildren and great-grandchildren and always liked to cut up with them. Preceded in death by his loving wife Velma Lozena Davis; parents Clint and Nervie Davis; brothers Ed, Kenneth, and Elmer Davis; sister Ruth Kelly. Survived by children Judy Chambers (James), Brenda Crisp (Bill), Jerry Davis (Tracy); grandchildren Melanie Wilson, Brandon Chambers, Whitney Davis, Haley Turner, Jennifer Voltinov, Abbey Fariss, Danielle Brinson, Dylan Hatfield; 13 great-grandchildren; brother William Davis; several nieces and nephews.
