Kenneth W. Rice

Kenneth W. Rice- age 71 of Knoxville passed away Saturday, Jun 2, 2018. Ken was a U.S. Army veteran serving from July 1966 to September 1967. Following his military service, Ken enjoyed a 33 year career with the Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) spending most of his career at John Sevier Steam Plant in Rogersville, TN. He retired in January of 2004 as a Shift Supervisor. Ken enjoyed classic cars, playing golf, and spending time with his grandchildren. He was a beloved husband, father and grandfather. Ken was a selfless, Christian man of the Baptist faith; was beloved in the community. Ken is survived by his loving wife, Kaye Rice; daughter and son-in-law, Kimberly and Don Evans of Alexandria, VA; step-daughter and son-in-law, Amy and Kenny Johnston of Knoxville; very special grandchildren, Harrison Evans, Cole, Brooke and Mackenlie Johnston; sister and brother-in-law, Ann and Dale Combs of Jefferson City; brother, Clarence Rice of Rutledge. The family will give honors to his life during a private memorial service with Toby Downey officiating.
