Kenneth C Long

Kenneth C. Long, age 79, of Knoxville Tennessee went to be with the Lord on January 27, 2019. He loved to work on small engines, loved tractors, and loved his farm. He was a Christian and loved to witness to people through film ministry about his lord and savior Jesus Christ. He belonged to Norwood Kiwanis for 20+ years. He also attended First Baptist Church of Andersonville. He was a retired captain with the Knoxville Fire Department. He served in the Air National Guard during the Berlin Crisis of 1961. Kenneth was a devoted husband, a caring father, a great neighbor, a lover of his country, and an all-around amazing person. He is preceded in death by parents Roy and Ruth Long. He is survived by his wife of 50 years Jeanie Long, son Aaron (Susan) Long, and brothers Jerry Long and Roy Long Jr. (Anne). The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. on Saturday February 2, 2019. A service will follow at 1:00 p.m. with Chaplain Gibbs Hammond officiating. Family and friends will meet at 3:45 p.m. Saturday February 2, 2019 at Huskey Cemetery for a 4:00 p.m. Interment.
