Kenneth Dean Borden, age 55, of Knoxville, TN, went home to be with Jesus suddenly on Thursday, August 1, 2024.
He was a devoted son, brother and friend. He worked for Smithbilt Homes for 16 years – he loved being a carpenter. He was the second biggest VOL fan (our dad being the biggest) you’ll ever find!! He was always willing to help out his family and friends in any way he could. He’d give you the shirt off his back if you truly needed it. He made friends everywhere he went. His jokes and pranks were sure to put a smile on your face. He was the master of pranks; his favorite prank, the ‘bug flying in your ear’. (If you knew my brother, you were pranked by this one at least once – and he always made sure to get you when you least expected it). Kenny loved playing basketball and football. Growing up he was always one of the best on his teams. He could spin and head-fake anyone to the rim and score. There is so much more to Kenny and his life than most know. He always made it a point to call his mom every day on is lunch break, rarely missing a day. Our lives will never be the same without him, but the love and memories we have of him will last forever!
Kenny is preceded in death by his father, Kenneth Borden. He is survived by his mother, Louise Borden Trentham; siblings, Becky Borden, Edwina Waggener, Gina Borden, and Bobby Borden (Nancy); and his longtime partner Rissa Weaver; several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, August 6, 2024, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm with a funeral service tofollow. Kenny will be laid to rest on Wednesday morning, August 7, 2024, at 11:00 am at Pollard Cemetery (3770 Pollard Cemetery Road, Kodak, TN 37764.)
