Kenneth Benjamin McNabb, 92, peacefully departed this life, at home with family by his side, Sunday, November 20, 2016. He was born in Cocke County, the son of Ben and Lucy McNabb, and lived his entire life in East Tennessee. Kenneth worked 36 years at the Y-12 Nuclear Weapons Facility in Oak Ridge but always found time to travel the US, camp on Norris Lake, restore antique tractors, and grow tomatoes. The fellowship within Phil Lovorn's Sunday School class at Beaver Dam Baptist Church has been a constant support and comfort over the years.
Kenneth was preceded in death by his siblings Helen, Elizabeth, Jim, Charles, George, and Irene. He is survived by his wife of 62 years Edythe Nelle McNabb, son Kenney W. McNabb and his wife Heather, and grandsons William (Ben) and Aiden (Squirrel) McNabb.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Smoky Mountain Antique Engine and Tractor Association and their efforts to continue the legacy of a time and people so important to Kenneth. You may contact Kathy Day at 865-323-8653 to make donations in Kenneth’s memory.
