Ken Maynard Weaver

Ken Maynard Weaver, Sr., age 80, was born September 8, 1935 in Knoxville, TN. He passed away due to complications of dementia on July 19, 2016 while surrounded by his loved ones at Tennova North Knox Medical Center. Ken was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by parents Joseph Richard Weaver and Lockie Laura Honeycutt Weaver, and sister Fleda Mae Tindell. Survivors include wife Mary Jane Weaver of Powell, TN, son, Ken Maynard Weaver, Jr., of Powell, TN, daughter Laura Cox, grandson Shane Cox, great grandchildren Zeke, Cierra, and Savannah and Serenity Cox, all of Knoxville, TN, brother Mike Weaver and wife Patsy of Clinton, TN, sisters Judy Tindell of Knoxville, TN, and Louise Smith of Jacksonville, FL, special sister-in-law Janice Putnam of Powell, TN, and brother-in-law Joe Lowe of Sharps Chapel, TN, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other loved ones. The family will receive friends 6-8 pm Friday at Mynatt Funeral Home Fountain City Chapel with funeral services to follow at 8 pm with Rev. Frank Weaver and Rev. Doug Munsey officiating. Mr. Weaver’s body will lie in state 10-10:45 am Saturday at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, Brushy Valley Rd. Family and friends will then meet at 10:45 am at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery for interment at 11 am.
