Kathryn Ann Owenby

Kathryn “Kathy” Ann (Dunn) Owenby, age 61 of Knoxville, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family at Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center Friday, September 23, 2022. Kathy was Baptized as a Christian. She was preceded in death by her parents, Alfreda and Bill Dunn; former husband, David Owenby; grandson, Blake Hossain; aunt and uncle, Dot and Jay Waddey. Kathy is survived by her daughters and sons in law, Brandy Owenby, Renessa (Colby) Gipson, Jennifer Owenby and Jay Lorshbaugh; son and daughter in law, Brad and Summer Owenby; grandchildren, Cherish (Carson) Byrd, Breanna Worthen, Jayden Hossain, Jayson Lorshbaugh, Cayson and Tennlee Owenby; brothers and sisters in law, Ronny and Darlene Owenby, Cindy Owenby; sister and brother in law, Linda (Jeannie) and Edward (Yakky) Hibbert; brothers and sisters in law, Bill and Karen Dunn, James and Barbie Dunn and Andy and Robin Dunn; dear friends, Teresa and Jennifer; special aunt, Bernice Misiak. A very special friend whom she loved as a sister, Debbie Brewer; special love, Jack Stinnett, Jr.; several nieces, nephews and cousins too numerous to mention. The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM Saturday, October 1, 2022 at Mynatt Funeral Home, Halls Chapel with a funeral service to follow at 2:00 PM. Reverend Carl Brown and Kenny Stinnett officiating. Family and friends will meet at 3:00 PM Saturday at Roseberry Cemetery for interment services.
