Collier, Mrs. Kathleen Boggs died peacefully at her home on Thursday, May 21, 2015, surrounded by her loving family. She was a member of Dante Baptist Church. Born on January 17th, 1915, she lived an exemplary Christian life, helping anybody in need and sharing the Gospel along the way. Formerly of New Johnsonville, TN, she was a member of Trace Creek Baptist Church for 30 years. She loved being involved in her community by writing a weekly column for the local paper, The News-Democrat. She truly honored her husband, parents and in-laws, taught her children by word and deed and loved our Lord Jesus Christ with all her heart, soul, and might. Preceded in death by beloved husband of 79 years, Walter (Mr. Ray) Collier, parents Jesse and Martha Boggs, sisters Sally Hill, Evelyn Lawson, and Reba McDavid, brothers Willie, Jesse and John Boggs, son James Ray (Jimmy) Collier, grandson Kenny Collier and great grandson Daniel Wade Lane. Survived by daughters Ruth (Marion) Lane of New Johnsonville, TN, Nell Beason, Martha Shannon of Knoxville, TN, and Phyllis Williams of Powell, TN, son John (Kathy) Collier of Chicago, IL; sister Phebe Kern, brother James Boggs, sister-in-law Florence Boggs; 13 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren, and 13 great great-grandchildren, a large extended family, caring friends and neighbors and a loving church family. Special thanks to devoted caregivers Jessica and Alyssa, Johnny Collins and the staff of Covenant Hospice. Pallbearers will be: Jeff Beason, Darin Schloesser, Tim Allen, Jack Wade, Rusty Jenkins and Danny Kaiser. Family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 pm Monday, May 25th, 2015 at Mynatt Funeral Home Halls Chapel, with funeral service to follow; Rev. Phillip Murphy and Rev. David Bumgardner officiating. Family and friends will meet at funeral home at 10:15 am on Tuesday, May 26th, 2015 and proceed to Greenwood Cemetery for an interment service at 11:00 am
