Katherine Ann Antrican

Katherine “Katie” Ann Antrican age 17 of Knoxville, passed away suddenly Sunday, January 8, 2023 at East Tennessee Children’s Hospital. Katie was of the Baptist faith. She was an Honor Graduate of Halls High School in December 2022 and was a member of the Halls High School Scholar Bowl. Katie loved academics, gardening, art and music. Katie was an accomplished pianist after many years of piano lessons. Whatever tasks Katie undertook, she excelled and completed. Katie always was willing to help fellow students and underclassmen with tutoring in their school work and projects. Katie loved Norris lake, camping and traveling. Katie was deeply loved and will be missed by her family and friends. Preceded in death by grandparents: J. R. and Jo Ann Akins, and George “Bruce” and Doris Antrican. Survivors: loving parents, Elaine and David Antrican, brother, Wesley Antrican, her precious cat, Scarlett, several aunts, uncles and cousins. The family will receive friends 4:00-7:00 p.m. Thursday, January 12, 2023 at Mynatt Funeral Home Fountain City followed by a 7:00 p.m. Celebration of Life Service.
