Karen Lynne Haywood Sawyer

Karen Lynne (Haywood) Sawyer age 57 of Maryville passed away suddenly Tuesday, May 11, 2021. She was a devoted Christian and a member of Cokesbury United Methodist Church where she and her husband Tom served as Sunday School Teachers of 3, 4 and 5 year old kids and member of the Cokesbury Original “Praise” Band. She was National Sales Manager for U.S. Cellular. She was a graduate of Oak Ridge High School and a music major at Brenau University. Survivors; husband of 10 years Tom Sawyer, mother; Carolyn (Sonny) Lescalleet, father; Fred (Sally) Haywood, brother, David Haywood, fur babies; Giselle, Sebastian, Sully, Ariel and Tinkerbell and a host of other beloved relatives and friends too numerous to list. A celebration of life service will be held 3:00 p.m. Saturday, May 22, 2021 at Cokesbury United Methodist Church, Rev. Stephen Defur officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service. The family asks in lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the 3, 4 and 5 year old kids Sunday School Class or Celebrate Recovery Program C/O Cokesbury United Methodist Church, 9919 Kingston Pike, Knoxville, Tennessee 37922.
