It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of Kaitlyn Nicole Morse, 29, of Powell, who left us peacefully on March 18, 2025, at 3:06 a.m., surrounded by the love of her family and friends.
Kaitlyn was a devoted wife, a fiercely loving mother, a cherished daughter and a loyal friend. She is survived by her husband, Hunter Morse; her two sons, Bentley and Hudson Morse, who were the light of her life; her momma, Wendy Aldridge; her father, Allen Aldridge and her grandmothers, Barbara Denman and Karen Aldridge. She also leaves behind many beloved family members and friends who will forever hold her memory close.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Logan Aldridge; her grandfathers, Jim Aldridge, Lonnie Humphrey, Kieth Denman, George Rackard and Dick Chambers; her grandmother, Kaye Evans-Rackard and her uncle, Larry Trotterchaud.
Kaitlyn had a remarkable way of making everyone around her feel seen and loved. Her laugh was contagious and she made it her mission to share it often — whether in person or through the countless FaceTime calls she loved so much. She poured her heart into everything she did, but her greatest joy was being a mother to Bentley and Hudson. They were her pride, her purpose and her greatest accomplishment.
She was proud to call Powell home and worked at The Wild Boar, where she formed lasting friendships with coworkers and customers alike. Kaitlyn’s strength was unmatched — on December 11, 2019, she overcame addiction and carried that triumph with honor and humility, always ready to help anyone fighting the same battle. Her journey inspired many and will continue to do so.
Kaitlyn leaves behind a legacy of resilience, love and laughter. She taught us the importance of connection, of showing up for the people you love and of never losing your sense of humor — no matter the struggle.
She will be missed more than words can ever express, but we find comfort in knowing she is reunited with those who went before her and that her light will continue to shine through her beautiful boys.
Family will receive friends on Sunday, March 30, 2025, from 4pm - 6pm at One Life Church, Powell. A service will immediately follow. All attendees are asked to wear UT apparel.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to East Tennessee Children's Hospital.
Rest easy, Kaitlyn. We love you always.
