Junior Ray Floyd, of Knoxville, TN, passed away on Thursday, February 22nd, 2018, surrounded by his loving family. Ray has been an employee of Colonial Freight Systems since 1968. He started out pumping fuel and cleaning the shop, and with much help and encouragement from his mentor, Mrs. Lura McBride, Ray worked his way up to Vice-President of the Maintenance Department. He was preceded in death by parents Elbridge and Cora Floyd; grandson Blake Russell; and sister Dorothy Price. He is survived by wife Suan Floyd; daughters Tami Parton, husband Terry, Andrea Floyd, and Sonya Russell, husband Michael; grandchildren; Cassi Fair, Taylor Floyd, Joe Bates and Erica Russell; great-grandchildren Noah, Jimmy, Finley, Jessica and Brittany; sisters Norma Jean Parton, husband Donald, and Lorene Boling, husband Jack; and numerous extended family and friends. Family and friends may call at their convenience on Tuesday, February 27th, 2018 from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Mynatt Funeral Home, Fountain City Chapel.
