June Oglesby Hurst

June Oglesby Hurst, age 82, of Knoxville, entered into the portals of Heaven January 2, 2014. Anyone who knew her, knew a caring, kind, compassionate, wonderful person. Her passing leaves a void in the world. She is now in the company of her beloved parents, Esther and Albert, sisters Ruth and Dorothy, brothers Howard, J.C., and Billy Joe. She leaves behind son Carl, brother Lee Roy, stepdaughter Linda, as well as numerous loved nieces, nephews, and cousins. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to your charity of choice. Funeral service will be 7 PM Tuesday at Mynatt Funeral Home Fountain City Chapel. Family and friends will meet 12:45 PM Wednesday at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery for 1 PM interment. The family will receive friends 5-7 PM Tuesday at Mynatt Funeral Home Fountain City.
