Judith "Judy" Stooksbury Franse

Judith “Judy” Stooksbury Franse, age 74, of Powell, passed away on Sunday, February 26th, 2017. She was born on May 8th, 1942 to the late Thomas and Helen Gallaher Stooksbury. She graduated from Powell High School in 1960 and was a member of Powell United Methodist Church. She enjoyed cooking for her family and friends and loved her church, its pastors and her church family very much. She was a wonderful wife, mother, sister, Memaw and Mammie. She is preceded in death by daughter, Melinda Franse. She is survived by husband of 57 years, Charles Franse, son Andy (Rebecca) Franse, two granddaughters whom she adored Brittney and Addison Franse, brothers Joe Stooksbury, Larry (Cathey) Stooksbury, Rex (Sue) Stooksbury, George (Cindy) Stooksbury, Mike (Karen) Stooksbury, Billy (Vera) Stooksbury and many nieces, nephews, extended family and dear friends. The family will receive friends on Thursday, March 2nd, 2017 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Powell United Methodist Church, with Celebration of Life to follow at 7:00 p.m. Family and friends will meet at 10:45 a.m. for an 11:00 a.m. inurnment on Friday, March 3rd, 2017 at Lynch Bethel Cemetery.
