Judith Ann Poynter

Judy Poynter is now present with the Lord. She met her Savior face to face January 16, 2017 at 12:40 am. Judy was a member of Beaver Dam Baptist Church. She is retired from Covenant Health Payroll Department where she was employed for fifty years. She is preceded in death by her parents, Loraine Poynter and Eugene Poynter. Survived by sister, Jeana Capps and husband Larry; niece, Lori (Capps) Cook and husband Dale; nephew, Kent Capps and wife Candace; nephew Chad Capps and wife Joanna. Her great nieces and nephews were her pride and joy, Lydia, Jude, and Hudson Capps, Nolan and Summitt Cook, Luke and Anna Lee Capps; special cousins, Sharon Shuler and family. Memorials may be made to Beaver Dam Baptist Church Future Needs Fund, 4328 E. Emory Road, Knoxville, TN 37938. The family will receive friends 5:30 – 7:00 pm Thursday at Mynatt Funeral Home Halls Chapel with a celebration of life service at 7:00 pm, officiated by nephew, Pastor Kent Capps and Dr. Alan Price. Family and friends will meet 10:45 am Friday at Woodlawn Cemetery for 11:00 am interment.
