Juanita M. Morelock

July 25, 1928 — March 1, 2014

Juanita M. Morelock left this world to go sit down beside Jesus and rest a little while. Preceeded in death by parents, Dewey and Rosie Carr; Brothers, Mike, Eugene, and Robert Carr; Sisters, Goldie Ridings, Alberta Wilson and Patsy Carr. Faithful member of Anderson St. Church of God where she was choir leader, piano player, treasurer, and secretary for many years. Juanita was a feisty redhead with a strong will to work for the Lord. Over the years she sang in the trio "Ambassadors for Jesus" and was on the radio with Sister Hazel Brewer. She went to the highways and hedges as God opened doors to sing and share about her savior. Surviving family includes Sister Cathryn Purkey, Brother Earl Carr, special nephew David Wilson and a host of other family and friends. Special recognition to Darlene Dunn, Jimmy and Joann Rhines as they faithfully stood by her in her declining years. Service 7:30 pm Sunday, Mynatt Funeral Home Fountain City Chapel, Pastor Joe Kennedy and Pastor Gilbert Owens officiating. Family and friends will meet 2 pm Monday at Bookwalter Cemetery for interment service. Family will receive friends 6 to 7:30 at Mynatt Funeral Home Fountain City Chapel.
