Juanita Braden

Juanita Braden age 93, passed away on Wednesday, April 22, 2025. She grew up in the Powell, Tennessee and attended Mount Hermon Methodist Church. Juanita graduated from Powell High School. She enjoyed her home, family, and loved the Lord. Juanita cared for many nieces and nephews over the years. She was known for her beautiful long auburn hair, and her love for others; she was a kind soul with a huge heart.

Juanita lived with her niece, Lisa Ramsey for many years and will be greatly missed by her and her children (De’Cauri, Verity, and To’Niyah). She was also close to her sister, Gayle Ferrell and her family. She is also survived by her nieces: Karen Wade, Barbara Dunn, and Jan Graves; and nephew, Michael (Debbie) Headrick, whom were all very close to her as well.

Juanita was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Grace Braden, sisters, Edith Headrick and Shirley Norris, and brother, James Braden. The family would like to thank the staff at Beverly Park Place for the great care and kindness shown to our dear Juanita. Family and friends will meet Sunday, April 27, 2025, at 3:45 pm at Sharon Baptist Church Cemetery (7916 Pedigo Rd, Knoxville, TN 37938) for a 4:00 pm graveside service. The family also requests that each person bring a single rose to her service.
