Joyce "Jo" Joiner

Joyce “Jo” Naomi Joiner, age 89, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, on February 10, 2018 after a long battle with dementia. She was a long time member of Concord Baptist Church. Throughout her lifetime, she showed real love by her many acts of kindness to family. friends and animals. Her husband of 72 years and our father, Donald Joiner, mirrored that love by the way he cared for her in their home 24/7 without a single lament throughout the entire battle. She is preceded in death by her daughter, Donna Joiner Stoyas. Survived by: husband Donald E. Joiner; sons Patrick Joiner, Mark Joiner (Pam); daughters Brenda Sellers (Richard) and Zelphi Wilson (Billy); son-in-law Angelo Stoyas; grandsons Damon Wilson, Brian and Darren Sellars and Peter Stoyas; granddaughters Athena Bolish and Laura Matthews; thirteen great-grandchildren. Family will receive friends Thursday 12:00p.m.-1:00p.m. at Mynatt Funeral Home Fountain City Chapel with service to follow, Rev. Steve Peek officiating. Pallbearers: Patrick, Mark, and David Joiner, Billy and Damon Wilson, Darren and Brian Sellers. Family and friends will then proceed to Highland Memorial Garden of Everlasting Life for interment.
