Joyce Faye Gibson Thomas, age 73, of Knoxville, TN, received her wings on Wednesday, January 31st, 2018 to join her parents James A. and Lula Pearl Loveday Gibson in heaven. She is survived by husband Fred Thomas, daughters Kattie Childs, Gwen Newman, Tammy Sanders and Vanessa Thomas, 10 grandchildren Freddie, Preston, Corey, Joycelyn, “T.J.”, Sharon, Paige, Amber, Thomas and Janessa, 12 great-grandchildren, and numerous extended family and dear friends. The family will receive friends on Monday, February 5th, 2018 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Mynatt's Funeral Home, Fountain City Chapel, with funeral service to follow at 7:00 p.m. Family and friends will meet at 9:45 a.m. for a 10:00 a.m. interment service on Tuesday, February 6th, 2018 at Piney Grove Cemetery, 2109 Piney Grove Church Rd, Knoxville TN.
