Joyce A. Keck

Joyce A. (Posey) Keck, age 89, of Knoxville passed unexpectedly into the arms of God on Tuesday, August 23, 2022 with her family at her side while on vacation at Fort Walton Beach in Florida. She joined her beloved husband, Voyd in Heaven on their 69th wedding anniversary. She retired after 39 years of service with Sears, Roebuck and Company. Joyce was a faithful member of Areme Chapter # 466 O.E.S and had just received her 50 year pin last month, past worthy matron and grand instructor of the Eastern Star. A member of Christ United Methodist Church and the Adult Bible Study Sunday School class. Preceded in death by her husband of 67 years Voyd Keck; parents, Fred and Margaret Posey; brothers, Odie (Ann) Posey, Homer Posey, Harris Posey, Harold Posey; sister, Christine (Onis) Woods. She will be greatly missed by her son and daughter-in-love Terry and Patti Keck; grandson, Tanner Keck; Steven (Danielle) Davis, Chad Davis; great-grandchildren, Braden, Caroline, Palmer Davis; sister, Louise Reed; sisters-in-law, Ruth and Opal Posey; a host of special nieces and nephews. Our mother was a sweet lady who was loved by anyone she met. A very special mom to many especially her daughter-in-love Patti. The family would like to thank Julia York, Tonya Simpson, and the staff at Senior Helpers. The family will receive friends Sunday, August 28th from 4:00-6:30 pm at Mynatt Funeral Home Halls Chapel with the Eastern Star service at 6:30 pm followed by the Celebration of Life with Pastor Mark Kilbourne officiating. Family and friends will meet Monday, August 29th at 10:45 am at Greenwood Cemetery where she will be laid to rest at 11:00 am.
