Joy Lyn Calloway Lindsey passed away in her home Wednesday at the age of 58, after several years battling breast cancer. Joy was a longtime employee of Kelsan, Inc, receiving multiple awards for excellence in sales, including the Million Dollar Club for sales in excess of 1 million dollars. In recent years, she was active in Hope for Victims, as she honored the life and early death of her husband Dave. She also participated in activities for breast cancer survivors and their families. Joy will be remembered for her devotion to her family and loved ones, her selflessness, and her exuberant approach to life. Lifelong friends, family, and acquaintances will remember her infectious laugh and optimism.She is preceded in death by her parents, Roy Calloway and Christine “Kip” Calloway, and her husband of 30 years, David Lindsey. She is survived by her husband T.E. LaRue, her sisters Gail and Christy, their daughters Christina, Savannah, and Summer, and her sons David, Jason, and Bobby. Joy is also survived by two daughters-in-law, Dorothy and Leslie, and five grandchildren, Jessie, Addie, Cy, Caleb, and Presley. The family invites loved ones and friends to celebrate Joy’s life with visitation on Friday, September 5, from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Mynatt Funeral Home in Fountain City. Family and friends will meet for a graveside service at 11:15 am at Greenwood Cemetery for an 11:30 am interment on Saturday, September 6.
