Josephine "Jobie" Mathes

Josephine “Jobie” Mathes age 81, of Oak Ridge, went to be with our Heavenly Father on Monday, June 3, 2024. Jobie, as she was affectionately known, was a kind and loving momma and lady with unwavering faith in God. She had a great sense of humor and enjoyed making people laugh. Her family meant everything to her, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew her. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jasper and Bessie Mathes, sisters, Wilma Flick and Sheree Anderson, brother, Ronnie Mathes and son-in-law, Trent Weaver. She is survived by her son, Richard Parker and wife Lisa, daughters, Shelia Weaver and Samantha Byrd and husband Jeff, grandchildren: Sean Parker (Casey), Randi Ethridge, Zachary Weaver, Evan Weaver (Destiny) and Shannon and Caleb Byrd; great grandchildren: Alexander Parker, Remy, Skylor, Zeryk, Elijah, Ashton and Brantley Weaver; sister, Carolyn Jones (David), brother, David Mathes (Gail), several nieces and nephews, and many great nieces and nephews. Jobie will be remembered for her love, laughter, and devotion to her family. May she rest in peace. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Jobie's memory to St. Jude's.
