Joseph Hunter Flatford

Joseph Hunter Flatford, age 30 of Knoxville, passed away April 8, 2023. He worked as a merchandiser for Pepsi Co. He will be remembered for his big smile, huge heart, and love of UT sports and video games. Preceded in death by father Joey Flatford, grandfather Jack Flatford, grandparents Donnie and Bennie Buster. Survived by mother Melissa (Dwayne) Light, sisters Cassie (Justin) Blevins and Samantha (Chris) Lay, brother Cooper Large, grandmother Judy Flatford, whom he loved dearly, papaw Leroy Humphrey, special cousins Levi Mghee and Sawyer Shelton, several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins. Family will receive friends 5:00-7:00pm Thursday, April 13, 2023, at Mynatt Funeral Home Halls Chapel with service to follow, Rev. Gary Criswell officiating. Family and friends will meet 12:45pm Friday, April 14, 2023, at Ridenour Cemetery for a 1:00pm interment. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to assist with funeral costs.
