Joseph Carl Mcmahan

Joseph Carl McMahan, born January 8, 1928, age 90, of Briceville, Tn went to be with the Lord on Wednesday January 24, 2018. He was preceded in death by his loving wife Helen Brown McMahan, parents; Leonard & Cora McMahan, granddaughter Stacey L. Hill, 4 brothers and 4 sisters and his lifelong friend Vance Salsbury. He is survived by his children Clell McMahan, Connie G. Jobe (Thomas), Cathy S. Wilson (Donny), Billy J. McMahan (Patty), numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, 1 great great-grandchild, 1 sister Grace Ohmstead (Ray), numerous nieces and nephews, and his beloved dog JoJo. He served in the Army for 23 and a half years and was in World War 2, the Korean War, and 3 tours in the Vietnam War. His rank upon retirement was E-8 MSgt. He loved his dog JoJo and his cat Tank. He was an avid golfer and was also a member of the Eagles baseball team while stationed in America and also the Spartans baseball team in Germany all for the military. He also loved to bowl in his spare time and spend time working at the garage with his son Billy. Receiving of friends will be on Friday January 26, 2018 from 5-8 p.m. with a Funeral Service to follow at Hatmakers Funeral Home in Rocky Top, Tn with Bro. Nickey Braden officiating. Family and friends will meet at the Circle Cemetery in Briceville, Tn January 27, 2018 at 10:45 a.m. for an 11:00 a.m. graveside service.
