Johnny William Phillips

Johnny William Phillips born January 30, 1950, passed away peacefully on Monday, January 30, 2023. John proudly served his country as a helicopter crew chief in the Vietnam War. He was an honorable man and cared deeply for his family and his sweet dog, Sage. He will be greatly missed by his children and grandchildren: Christopher Phillips (Ashley), Aubrey Phillips, Emma Phillips, and Reed Phillips, Joanne Carey (Brian), Gordon Alexander Carey and Elizabeth Carey, Shellie DeGrove (Paul), Jake Matthews and Logen Cuthbertson, and Stephen Phillips (DeeDee). Family and friends will be gathering for a small ceremony at the Veteran Cemetery, 2200 E Governor John Sevier Hwy, Knoxville, TN 37920, on February 13th at 12:30pm with Dustyn Copeland officiating.
