Johnny Wayne Houser

Johnny Wayne Houser Sr., 71, Passed peacefully with family by his side Sunday September 10, 2017 in Herndon, Va. Born October 28, 1945 in Knoxville, TN, He was a Naval Reservist out of Highschool and was called to Duty for Vietnam, Navy Sea Bees, from 1965 to 1966 where he was awarded the Vietnam Service Medal and the National Defense Service Medal. He was a lifelong resident of Melbourne FL, Brevard County, since 1966 where he worked at Cape Canaveral Hospital in the maintenance department. He then began working for Harris Corporation in Semiconductor & Government Systems where he retired after 45 years with the company. He was very active with the Hamm Radio community, where he enjoyed assisting with Melbourne Weather Emergency Management using Handle Ke4mmi. He also was a very active member and teacher at the Seventh Day Adventist Church of Melbourne, FL. He is preceded in death by: his Mother Alice Mae Houser, Father Millard L Houser, and Brother Ray Houser of Knoxville, TN. He is survived by one Brother Max Houser of Knoxville, TN, Son Johnny W Houser Jr (Cheryl) Herndon, VA, Daughter Alice Houser of Du Quoin, IL. He has 11 grandchildren, Cristahna Houser, William Houser, Mark Houser, Savanna Houser, Ashley Palmer, Cody Palmer, Josh Cintron, Cheyenne Cintron, John Davis Jr (Jazmine), Jason Davis (Tasha), and Hailey Houser. He has two great grandchildren, Melody May Houser and Lukeus Ray Davis. Arrangements being handled by Mynatts Funeral Home, Knoxville, TN September 18, 2017 at 1pm with grave side service to follow at 2pm at the Tennessee Veterans Cemetery Knoxville, TN.
