Johnny Herbert Allen

It is in great sorrow that we announce the passing of our father Johnny Herbert Allen, age 75, of Knoxville, TN. He returned to his heavenly home on Thursday, October 20th, 2016. Johnny served in the United States Army. He was the husband of the late Kathleen Allen that passed away September 18th, 2016. Johnny loved his family with all his heart and looked forward to every moment spent with them. We take much comfort in the fact that Johnny loved God and knew that God would gently carry him into heaven. Johnny is preceded in death by the love of his life Kathleen Allen; parents Jack and Stella Allen; sister Carolyn Bruner; and step-son Glenn Grimes. Johnny is survived by his daughter Missy and husband Joe Fernandez; step-daughter Carla and husband Richard Cross; step-son Ricky and wife Sheila Parsley; grandchildren Kady and husband Daniel Maples, Kristie Haynes, Kimberly Haynes, Phillip Haynes, Brandi Payne, and Rick Parsley; his great-grandchildren Kennedy Maples and Baby Maples to be born in March; brother/Best Friend Jack and wife Mary Ellen Allen; sister Nora Foster; sister-in-law Mary Sampson; many nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends. The family will receive friends on Saturday, October 22nd, 2016 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Mynatt Funeral Home, Fountain City Chapel. Family and friends will meet at 9:45 am on Sunday, October 23rd, 2016 at Greenwood Cemetery for a 10:00 am graveside service.
