Johnny Edward Collins Jr., age 64 of Knoxville, Tennessee, died Monday, November 14, 2022. He was of the Baptist faith and a member of the United States Marine Corps. Johnny was preceded in death by his wife, Gina Collins; mother, Betty Collins; and nephew, Abram Wilson. He is survived by his beloved children, Ashley Collins, Falisha Fisher, Lakisha Barranger and John Cole; grandchildren, Hayden Sherwood, Harlan Sherwood, River Fisher, Forest Fisher and Willow Fisher; father, Johnny Collins; sisters and brothers, Debbie Segars, Ricky (Jacque) Collins, Shirley Hobert, Gary Hobert and Sharon Jones; nephews, Sean Collins, Sam Collins, Lucas Wilson and Isaac Wilson. The family would like to express their gratitude to the doctors, nurses and staff of University of Tennessee Medical Center and the Respiratory team of Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center Select, for their support, care and compassion during Johnny's recent illness. The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Tuesday, November 22, 2022, at Mynatt Funeral Home, Halls Chapel with a funeral service to follow at 7:00 pm with Rev. Doug Fielden officiating. Family and friends will meet at 12:30 pm on Wednesday, November 23, 2022, at East Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery 2200 E Governor John Sevier Hwy, Knoxville, TN 37920 for a graveside service with full military honors presented by the East Tennessee Veterans Honor Guard.
