Johnny Allen Kear, born May 3, 1950, went to be with the Lord October 1, 2022. Johnny loved fishing, camping and hunting. He was a Union Crane Operator (Local 917) until he retired. He loved spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and his faithful companion Roscoe. He was a member of Texas Valley Baptist Church. He is preceded in death by his sisters, Sue Cagle and Marjorie Mitchell; brothers, Jerry Kear and Jack Kear. He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Rosa Kear; son Johnnie (Melissa) Kear of Powell; daughter, Laura Whitaker of Powell; grandchildren, Kristin (Sam) Overton, Seth (Michaela) Kear, Matthew Whitaker and Jack Whitaker; great-grandchildren, Axel Overton and Isabella Overton; siblings, Linda Lambert and Jeff (Maria) Kear; many loving nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends Sunday, October 2, 2022, at Mynatt Funeral Home Halls Chapel, from 4:00pm-6:00pm with a funeral service to follow at 6:00pm, Rev. Bill McCarter officiating. Family and friends will meet Monday October 3, 2022, at Loveday Kear Cemetery at 1:45pm for an 2:00pm interment. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to St. Jude Hospital.
