Johnnie "J. Wade" Wade Leach, age 88 of Halls, passed away at home on Saturday, February 9, 2019 after a short illness to join Christ in Heaven. He was an active member of Cedar Ford Baptist Church of Luttrell. He was a disabled Korean War veteran ranking of Corporal MOS 1745 in the U.S. Army. He was the previous owner of several service stations in the Halls area. J. Wade retired as owner of Leach Garage. Preceded in death by parents, Hugh and Mary Leach; wife, Nancy Leach; sisters, Lorene Thomas, Ailene Booker and Betty Clarkson; brother, Ralph Leach and step-daughter, Janice Weaver. He is survived by sons, Jeff Leach (Michelle) of Corryton and Greg Leach of Powell; mother of his sons, Pearl Leach of Powell; granddaughter, Lauren Black (Dustin); grandson, Landon Leach; great-grandsons, Dawson and Sawyer Black; sister, Sarah Ridenour; brother, H.E. Leach (Christine); sister-in-law, Dollie Leach; step-daughter, Susan Gregory; step-grandchildren, Samantha Crum (Aaron), Kyle Gregory and Steve George (Dawn); step-great-grandchildren, Aiden Gregory, Eli Crum, Riley George and Zack George. Pallbearers will be Greg Leach, Landon Leach, Roy Thomas, Steve George, Jack Griffin and Jeff Leach with his nephews serving as honorary pallbearers. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, February 12th from 5:00-7:00pm at Mynatt Funeral Home Halls Chapel with funeral service to follow, Rev. Richard Nicely and Pastor Jeff Leach officiating. Music for the service will be by Linda Nicely and Melba Greene. Family and friends will meet at Mynatt Funeral Home Halls Chapel at 10:30am on Wednesday, February 13th and proceed to Emory Pike American Christian Church Cemetery, 4822 E.
