John Richard Mynatt

John Richard Mynatt, age 60, of Knoxville, passed away January 31, 2017. He was born May 20, 1956 in Hammond, Indiana. He was a graduate of Halls High School and went on to attend Hiwassee College on a baseball scholarship. He worked many years as an electrician until his retirement. He was preceded in death by grandparents, Ethel & Ross Clark; and step-father, Bob Besecker. Survivors include, wife, Tina Mynatt; daughter, Christy Luttrell; son, Jake Mynatt and wife Nikki; daughter, Kacey Scates and husband Eric; special grandson, Marcus; father, James “Sonny” Mynatt Sr.; mother, Betty Clark Besecker; two brothers, Doug Mynatt and Jim Mynatt; sister, Angie Turner; grandchildren, Alyssa and Tripp. The family will receive friends from 5-7pm, Friday, February 3, 2017 at Mynatt Funeral Home Halls Chapel, with service to follow at 7pm. Rev. Andy Lynn and Rev. Mike Atkins officiating. Family and friends will meet at Mynatt Funeral Home Halls Chapel at 10:45am Saturday to go in procession to Milan Baptist Church Cemetery for a graveside service at 11:30am.
