John K. Haworth

John Haworth Sr. 77 of Knoxville was called home to be with his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, August 30, 2017. John was born March 10, 1940 in North Vernon, Indiana to the late Nathan Haworth and Ruth Axton Haworth. John was a United States Air Force Veteran. He is preceded in death by his parents, step-mother Mary Haworth and son-in-law, Jamie Suits. He is survived by his loving wife Sandra of 53 years; son, Johnny and daughter, Jacqueline and husband Keith; grandchildren, Brooklyne and Joseph; a step grandson, Isaiah. Additional survivors include a brother, Gilbert Haworth and his wife Debbie and a sister Elizabeth Whisnant and her husband Steve. A funeral service will be held Monday, September 4th 4 o’clock pm at The Mynatt Funeral Home, 2829 Rennoc Road, Fountain City Chapel 37918, 865-688-2331 with Rev. Charles Lawson officiating. The family will receive friends from 2-4 pm on Monday at the funeral home. Family and friends will meet on Tuesday, September 5th, 11:15 am in The East Tennessee Veterans Cemetery on Gov. John Sevier Highway for an 11:30 interment with military honors provided by The East Tennessee Veterans Honor Guard.
