John Paul Head peacefully departed to his heavenly home on Thursday, October 3, 2024. In his final moments, he held the hand of the love of his life Gina. Throughout his life, John exemplified what it meant to be a servant of The Lord. He was a remarkable provider, always prioritizing the needs of others above his own. Known for his incredible skills as a lifelong plumber and craftsman, John took immense pride in his work and found joy in helping those around him. His warm spirit and infectious laughter touched the lives of everyone he met, leaving a remarkable mark on their hearts.
John's legacy is one of love, kindness, and unwavering faith. He will forever be remembered for his generosity and the joy he brought into the lives of his family and friends. As we reflect on his life, we find comfort in knowing that his memory will continue to inspire and guide us for generations to come.
John is preceded in death by parents, JP and Edna Head.
He was a beloved spouse, devoted father to Kyler (Cheyenne) Lothrop, Nicholas (Kaitlyn) Lothrop, Alex Lothrop and Alex's girlfriend Kei Tate, Brandon Metcalf and Ashley Metcalf; a cherished P-Paw to Owen, Brycn, Eastyn, Alyvia, Kassidy, Aelin, Ethan, Shawn and Jeffrey; a loving brother to Jack (Betsy) Head, Kathy (Carl) Richmond and Tona McElroy (Mark); a dear uncle and cousin to many, and friend to all. John is also survived by his beloved pet dog, Tasha Nicole.
The family will receive friends on Monday, October 7, 2024 from 5:00pm to 7:00pm at Mynatt Funeral Home Powell Chapel with a service to follow at 7:00pm. Rev. Michael Hall officiating. Family and friends will meet at 10:15am on Tuesday, October 8, 2024 at Mynatt Funeral Home Powell Chapel to go in procession to Woodhaven Memorial Gardens for an 11:00am interment service.
