John Hamilton

John "Larry" Hamilton, age 73, of Maryville died Sunday, January 1, 2023 at U.T. Medical Center. Larry was retired from the U. S. Army serving in the Vietnam Era. Preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Jewell Hamilton, sisters, Betty Moehrle and Jane Dail, brother, James Hamilton. Survivors: wife of 45 years, Kathy (Carr) Hamilton, Son, Devin, 4 step daughters, several step grandchildren and step great grandchildren. Sisters, Bobbie Frank and Susan Owens, Brother, David Hamilton. Many nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m.- 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 11, 2023 at Mynatt Funeral Home Fountain City followed by a 7:00 p.m. funeral service, Rev. Jody Darden officiating. Family and friends will meet 1:45 p.m. Thursday, January 12, 2023 at East Tennessee Veterans Cemetery (John Sevier) for a 2:00 p.m. committal service with full military honors provided by the East Tennessee Veterans Honor Guard.
