John C. Hall, age 82, of Knoxville, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, May 30, 2015, surrounded by his loving family. He was a retired truck driver with 66 years of service and was well respected by all that knew him. His interests were hunting and fishing with his family and friends. He loved racing and was part of the drag racing, dirt track and go-kart racing families for all his life. He was a mentor to young racers who loved to hear the stories he had to share and the advice he could give. Preceded in death by his parents, C.B. “Red” and Eltha Hall; sister, Norma Wilson. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Aileen Hall; sons and daughters-in-law, Jimmy, John Ed, Roger and Sharon, Chris and Stacy; grandchildren, Lynn (Elana) Hall, Michael (Terri) Hall, Shannon (Clay) McKamey, Danny Hall, Rhett (Christina) Hall, Adam Elrod, Rachel (Joey) Stephens; great grandchildren, Jeremy, Kevin, Shanda, Duncan, Parker, Whitney, Jake, Dakota, Andrea and Timothy; sister, Lynda Cox and numerous nieces and nephews, special family friends, Teresa Moore and Laura Hall. Service 8 pm Tuesday, Mynatt Funeral Home Fountain City Chapel, Rev. John McGaha Family and friends will gather 10:45AM Wednesday at Sherwood Memorial Garden in Alcoa for 11AM interment service. Family will receive friends 6-8PM Tuesday at Mynatt Funeral Home Fountain City Chapel.
