John Alson Idol age 77 of Clinton originally from Knoxville passed away Saturday, December 26, 2020 at Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center. He was a member of Reunion Baptist Church and Superintendent of Sunday School, Deacon, and Song Leader at church. Retired from Fisher Auto Parts. Preceded in death by parents; Elmer and Grace Idol, Sister; Brenda Faye Idol Lamontagne, Survivors; wife of 57 years, Shirley Idol. Daughter; Sheila Idol. Sister; Linda (Joseph) easterly. Several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends 11:00am-1:00pm Thursday, December 31, 2020. At Mynatt Funeral Home Fountain City Chapel. Family and Friends will then meet at 1:45pm Thursday, 12/31/2020 at Dalton Cemetery, Washburn for a 2pm Graveside Service. Reverend Greg Beckham officiating.
