Joe Van Steadman Sr.

Joe Van Steadman, Sr. age 65 of Knoxville passed away peacefully in his sleep at Summit View of Rocky Top.    He was born in Knoxville, TN December 20, 1959.  He spent many years truck driving before retiring due to his health.  He was of the Baptist faith, he loved playing football and attended Fulton High School.  He was preceded in death by his mother Ann Stewart Stafford, grandmother Jeanette Downing, special (Aunt Beck) Rebecca Oglesby Cagle, uncle Bill Oglesby  and uncle Gene Cagle.  Joe leaves behind his kids, Tara Leach (Daniel), Jennifer Steadman (Ronnie), Joe (Joey) van Steadman, Jr. (Kristin); grandkids Hunter Overton , Ansley Overton, Dani Overton, Gracie Lawhorn, Aubrey Ray, Nevaeh Steadman, Alyssa Steadman, Mathias Steadman and Lazaarus Steadman.  Special cousins like siblings, Timothy (Janice) Oglesby and Carla (Andrew) Rousseau.  The family wants to thank the Staff at Summit View and UT Hospice, also special friend Peggy Hoskins for their help in Joe's care.  There will be a Celebration of Life service in Joe's memory which will be announced at a later date.  In lieu of flowers or any donations, please make donations to Mynatt Funeral Home to help with expenses.  2 Corinthians 1:3-4 "Praise be to the Lord Jesus Christ the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort.  Who comforts us in all troubles so that we can comfort those in any trouble or need with the comfort we ourselves have received from God."   Condolences may be left at www.mynattfh.com.
