Jimmie Lee Collins

Jimmie Lee Collins, 80, of Powell, TN, passed away Wednesday, September 19, 2023, in Norris, TN. He was born January 25, 1943, in Claxton. He ran the Claxton Gulf Station for years, then moved to the Clinton Exxon. He also ran a local wrecker service and then worked for Clinton Hwy Wrecker Service alongside his good friend, Rick Carnes. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harvey and Leoma Collins; brothers, Cecil Collins and Bobby Collins; sisters, Norma Pointer, Brenda Moore and Phyllis Maner. Jimmie is survived by sisters, Ruth Humphery of Heiskell and Rita Elliott of Andersonville; his beloved son and wife, Josh and Chrissy Tillman of Powell, TN; Granddaughters, Harmony (Devon) Tindell of Clinton and Lacey Tillman of Powell, also several great granddaughters, nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends 5:00-7:00 pm, Tuesday, September 26, 2023, at Mynatt Funeral Home, Powell Chapel, with funeral service to follow, officiated by Rev. Rick Carnes. Family and friends will meet 1:45 pm Wednesday, September 27, 2023, at Woodhaven Memorial Gardens in Claxton, for a 2:00 pm interment. The family would like to give a special thank you to Rick Carnes for being such a great friend to our beloved father, brother, and uncle, Jimmie Collins.
