Jewell Ilene Bridges

Jewell Ilene Bridges, 93, of Powell TN, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 20, 2021 at home surrounded by family. She was a member of Old Pleasant Gap Baptist Church. She was such a loving and supportive mother and Mamaw. She was strong in her faith and had a voice of an angel which she shared with others together with her late husband Leroy, singing for the Lord wherever He led them. She considered it such an honor to be a mother to her many children and so many others who called her mom or Mamaw. The world will feel such a loss of her joining her Heavenly Father. Preceded in death by husband, Leroy; sons, Roy Wayne & Ricky Allen; grandchildren, Christina, Joshua Shoemaker and Johnny. Survived by daughters - Diane (Bill) Huff, Pat (Eddie) McCoy, Cathy (Jim) Snyder, Penny (David) Shoemaker, sons - Bill (Kay) Evans, Ronnie (Tina), Donnie, Kenny (Donna), Jerry (Libby), Rocky (Debi) Danny (Sandy) and daughter-in-law Libbie Bridges; a total of 78 grand, great-grand & great-great grandchildren. The family will receive friends on Friday, January 22, 2021 from 5-7pm at Mynatt Funeral Home in Halls. Family and friends will meet at 11:45am on Saturday, January 23, 2021, at Mynatt Funeral Home Halls Chapel for a 12:00pm funeral service, with Rev. Clifford Fraker and Rev. Danny Bridges officiating. Family and friends will then proceed to Bethany Baptist Church Cemetery for interment. Pallbearer’s: grandchildren - Rob, Jeff, Matt, Blake, Sam, and Mason Bridges and Austin Welsh. The remaining grand, great-grand & great-great grandchildren will serve as honorary pallbearers. Due to Covid, please respect the family and wear a mask at the funeral home and graveside.
