Jerry Clayton Collier

Rev. Jerry Clayton Collier, age 79, was born April 16, 1938 and passed away on May 18, 2017. He was a member of Faithway Baptist Church. He organized several churches throughout the years and was former pastor of Willow Springs Baptist Church and Faith Baptist Church. He also worked as a brick mason and building contractor. Preceded in death by parents, James Roy Collier and Nellie Stooksbury Collier. Survived by wife of 59 years, Shirley Bates Collier; son, Doug Collier (Vickie Miles); daughter, Angel England; granddaughter, Amanda Bush; great grandson, Caden Bush; sisters, Carolyn Bryan (Sam) and Elizabeth Cox; brother, Horton Collier (Donna); nephews, Randy, Gary and Jeff Cox and Allen Shoopman. The family will receive friends 11:00 am-1:00 pm, Saturday, at Mynatt Funeral Home Halls Chapel with funeral service to follow. Following the service family and friends will proceed to Woodhaven Memorial Gardens for interment service. Pallbearers: Ronnie LeQuire, Mike Hurst, Allen Shoopman, J.D. Hensley, Banum Burk and John Kester. Honorary pallbearers: Cleo Crawford, John B. Pichett and Gene Bernard.
