Jerry Carlile Boone

Jerry C. Boone age 79 of Fountain City passed away Wednesday, July 29, 2020 at the University of Tennessee Medical Center. He was an employee of Auto Zone (Fountain City Store) for over 10 years, member of Glenwood Baptist Church, 32-degree mason with Bright Hope Lodge 557 F & AM, avid NASCAR Fan, Veteran of the U.S. Air Force serving in Vietnam, loved Air Force Fighter Jets, and his family was his top priority. Preceded in death by parents, Addie May and Richard Boone. Siblings, William (Bill) Boone, Robert (Bob) Boone, Jesse Boone, Marjoree (Margie) Higgins, Claudell Wooten and Carney Boone. Survivors; wife of 50 years, Doris Boone, Daughter, Dianne Taylor, son-in-law, Danny Montgomery, son, Kevin Boone, three grandchildren, Lori, Jodi, and Travis Taylor, ten great grandsons. siblings, Calvin (Carol) Boone, Lewis (Carol) Boone, Emily (John) Conroy, Carol Vasquez, Elaine Franklin, Gayle Dawson, Richard (Debra) Boone, Michael Boone, Sulynne (Don) Denton, Pamela (Mike) Matthews and Donna Boone, numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews. The family will receive friends 5:30-7:30 p.m. Wednesday, August 5, 2020 at Mynatt Funeral Home Fountain City Chapel followed by a 7:30 p.m. funeral service, Rev. Family and friends will meet 1:45 p.m. Thursday, August 6, 2020 at East Tennessee Veterans Cemetery (John Sevier Highway) for a 2:00 p.m. committal service with full military honors provided by the East Tennessee Veterans Honor Guard.
