Jeremy Aaron Wampler left this earth on Monday, September 24, 2018 to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He was 34 years old.
Jeremy was a devoted husband, father, son, grandson, brother and friend. He was born in Knoxville on January 19,1984 and grew up in Powell near the family farm close to grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins. It was where he developed his deep appreciation for the importance of family and a lifelong passion for the outdoors. Summers and weekends would find Jeremy somewhere outside, often at Douglas Lake with family and friends.
Jeremy worked as Director of Purchasing for All Star Outfitters, where he had been employed for 13 years. Known for his outgoing personality, he was gregarious and kind. Jeremy loved people, music, dogs, had a great sense of humor and an infectious smile. He enjoyed boating, target shooting, gaming, and treasured his friendships. His greatest joy was being with his wife Lea and their two children. A man of faith and devoted to God, Jeremy brought love, joy and laughter to this world. He will be greatly missed.
Jeremy was preceded in death by his grandparents, Bob Wampler and Wilma Sue Roop, and father-in-law, Roy Emery. He is survived by his wife, Lea Emery Wampler; children, Emery Grace and Zeke Bass Wampler; parents, Rob and Teresa (Skip) Wampler; brother, Derek and Kayla Wampler; grandparents, Jerry and Ruthann Simmons; niece, Addison Wampler; mother-in-law, Cindy Emery; many aunts, uncles and cousins; and man's best friend, Opie.
