Jeffrey Scott Smith “Scotty”, age 54 of Knoxville entered his heavenly home suddenly Tuesday, February 20, 2018 at Parkwest Medical Center. He was born November 1, 1963 to Paul and Shirley Smith in Knoxville. He was a 1981 graduate of Halls High School. He followed his passion by starting his painting company, Smith Painting & Line Striping, in 1987. He worked individually with homeowners and businesses to customize his work to their needs over the 22 years he was in business. Former member and deacon of Second Baptist Church, N. Broadway, Knoxville.
He never met a stranger and had a personality even bigger than his heart. He was stubborn, loving, hilarious and loved to joke around and make people laugh. His laugh was one of a kind. This man will be missed by so, so many. Preceded in death by parents, Paul and Shirley Smith; grandparents, Robert and Minnie Barr; and mother and father in law, Leroy and Ruth Sproles.
Survived by his children, Amanda Smith Adams “Sissy”, favorite daughter in law, Nikki, Cameron Smith “Roonie” (Sydney), wife for 28 years and mother of his children, Sheri Smith; brother, Gary Smith (Paula); nephew, Corey Smith; special “other daughter” Stacie Smith and baby Jackson. The family would like to thank “his” special staff at Westmoreland Health and Rehab and Summit View of Farragut and especially his cardiologist, Dr. C. Chase Trotter for helping save him the first time to allow us this last year and a half to spend with him.
Also, thanks to the first responders, ER staff at Parkwest, including Cheriya Scott for doing everything you could to try to bring daddy back. Family will receive friends Sunday February 25, 2018 12:00-2:00p.m. at Mynatt Funeral Home Fountain City Chapel with service to follow, Pastor Wayne Peace officiating.
