Jeffrey Lee Perkins

Jeffrey Lee Perkins Sr. age 58 departed this earth on Friday, December 24, 2021 from his home in Clinton, Tennessee. He was born October 2, 1963 in Circleville, Ohio to Larry and Betty (Combs) Perkins. "Perk" as he liked to be called, proudly served in the Marine Corp from 1982-1985. In the late 1990s he served as Commanding Officer to the Young Marines Program in Crossville, Tennessee. Anyone he ever met was treated to colorful stories of his time in uniform, as the Marines remained his favorite subject. In addition to his grandparents, he was preceded in death by his beloved son, Jeffrey Lee Perkins Jr. He is survived by his parents; sisters, Tammy Cagle (Steve) and Carolyn Perkins; his long- time companion, Cathy Smith, all of Clinton. He will be missed by his children, Amanda Pickett (Chris) of Roland, Oklahoma, Matthew Perkins of Clinton, and Kennedy Bragg (Kevin) of Luttrell, Tennessee; bonus kids, Heather Julian (Michael), of Maynardville, and Sean "Sean-Boy" Braden of Wartburg. His larger-than-life memory will be kept alive by their parents for his grandchildren Blaze, Mason, and Mallie. Military honors will be bestowed on him as he is laid to rest Tuesday, January 4th at 8:30 am in the East Tennessee State Veteran's Cemetery at 2020 East Governor John Sevier Highway, Knoxville, Tennessee.
