Jean Gose Campbell, age 94, passed away Friday, February 6, 2015. She was a long time member of First Baptist Church of Powell. She was an avid gardener and expert in canning and preserving fruits and vegetables. She was also an expert quilter and each member of the family at some time has received the quilts she made with love. Her faith, sound mind and body remained with her for 94 years. She was an inspiration to all who were blessed to know her. Jean was preceded in death by her husband, Roy E. Campbell; brothers, Sam, Alfred, and Frank Gose; and sisters, Mary Lou Griffin and Lois Franklin. She is survived by a loving family that adored her, daughter, Mary Evelyn Holland; son, Roy Kenneth Campbell (Janet); grandchildren, Bruce Campbell, Karen Campbell, Angela Holland, Ken Holland (Sandy), and Diane Holland; great-grandchildren, Josh Campbell (Kelli), Adam Campbell (Lauren), Matthew Holland, John Holland, Kelsey Holland, Zane Joyeuse, and Savana Joyeuse; Great-great granddaughter, Kayleigh Nighbert; and a brother Joe Gose (Joan), of Mesa, Arizona. The family will receive friends 5-7pm Monday at Mynatt Funeral Home Fountain City Chapel, with service to follow at 7pm. Pastor Phil Jones and Rev. Jim Waddell, officiating. Friends and family will meet at Woodhaven Cemetery at 12:45pm Tuesday for graveside services at 1pm.
