Janis Kaye Free

Janis Kaye Free, age 73 of Knoxville, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, June 1, 2022. She enjoyed spending time watching Days of Our Lives and Hallmark Christmas movies, thrift shopping, and being with her family. Janis was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Roger “Buck” Stansberry Sr. and Eva Hampton; husband, Johnny Free; and granddaughter, Keira Smith. She is survived by her children, Paula Smith, Angela (Matt) Walters, Jason (Karyn) Smith, Brian (Tia) Smith, Kayela Smith, and Kayelene Smith; siblings, Diana (Irv) Blalock, Roger (Jacque) Stansberry Jr., Mike (Vicki) Stansberry, Sharon (Roger) Inman, Gene Hampton, and Russell Davis; grandchildren, Briana Smith, Skyler Smith, Jason Smith, Madison Smith, Jacob Walters, Brinlee Smith, Gracie Walters, Isaiah Smith, Audrey Smith, Bailey Smith, Nolan Smith, and Bella Blackwell; great-grandchildren, Grayson Smith, Raylee Moore, and Ramsey Moore; and many nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Friday, June 3, 2022 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Mynatt Funeral Home Fountain City Chapel with an 8:00 pm service to follow.
