Janice Meyers Johnson passed away peacefully at home on June 15, 2022 at the age of 81. She was born on August 16, 1940 in Knoxville, TN to Charles and Velva Meyers where she was one of four siblings: Ray Meyers, Dale “Shorty” Meyers, and Shirley Jones. She graduated from Halls High School in 1958 where she met her husband of 55 years, Kenneth Dean Johnson. She had a long career in the banking industry where she served at several banks and credit unions in the Knoxville area. Her greatest joy was having her family at her house for weekly meals, front yard games, and making memories. She is survived by her daughter, Lisa Collier and her husband, Jimmy Collier; her son, Scott Johnson and his wife, Kelly Johnson; grandchildren Matthew Collier and wife Erin, Tyler Collier, Mallory O’Brien and husband Andrew, and Andrew Johnson, all from Knoxville, TN; and great grandchildren Miles and Deacon Collier. Her grandchildren and great grandchildren were her world, and she loved them dearly. Friends and family will gather to remember Janice at her house from 5:00-7:00 p.m. on Friday, June 17, 2022. The interment service will be held at 12:30pm Tuesday, June 28, 2022, at East Tennessee Veterans' Cemetery on Gov. John Sevier Hwy.
