Janet Sue Hill, 72, of Knoxville, Tennessee passed away on November 20, 2021. She will be reunited with her loving husband, John Hill; her parents, Paul and Mary Lamkin; her brother, Stanley Lamkin; and her son, Benjamin Harris.
Janet was the first baby born in 1949 at Brokaw Hospital in Normal, Illinois. With her dad in the Army, she moved around most of her childhood, but they ended up settling in Newport News, Virginia, where she met her husband of 15 wonderful years.
Janet had a distinguished career at G&R Metals as an Accountant for 20 years. She took pride in teaching the word of God as a Sunday school teacher at Olivet Christian Church for many years. She raised 4 kids and took in a step-daughter as if she were her own. Being an amazing mom even at the age of 45, she adopted a baby girl. She is known for her strength, determination, and love for her family. She always knew that when she retired that she wanted to move to the beautiful city of Knoxville, Tennessee and live out the rest of her years.
Janet is survived by her children, Julie Carroll and husband Donald Carroll, Bobby Harris, Michael Harris, Karen Nasser and husband Chris Nasser, Cindy Holland her husband Nick Holland; As well as 6 grandchildren, Tim Carroll, Amanda Goodman and husband Gregory Goodman, Paul Mitchell, Bobby Scott Harris, Samantha Holland, and LJ Holland; 3 great-grandchildren, Brooke Snider, Sarah Snider and Lynn Goodman to cherish her memories.
