Janet Marie Geitner

Janet Geitner, age 74, passed away on April 29th, 2022. She was a member of Big Spring UMC, served there as music director and lay speaker, and also served as a pastor at McDonald UMC. She taught Spanish at Ooltewah High School for 36 years, and in addition enjoyed teaching English as a second language. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Maxine Geitner; and brother Larry Geitner. Janet is survived by her niece, Rebekah Geitner Allison; nephew, Erik Geitner; sister-in-law, Barbara Geitner; and other family and friends. A celebration of Janet's life will be held Saturday May 14, 2022, at Big Spring United Methodist Church, 1196 Hardwick St SE, Cleveland, TN 37311 at 2pm. Rev. Billy Kurtz will be Officiating.
